All the times I reached are real! These aren't any split times. It's the whole circuit. The basic trick is, that you cut some curves straight through and use a bit improved car (we call it "The Beast"). But I can tell you, sometimes it's a big problem. The computer does everything to not to allow you shorting the circuit (example of "computer's cheating"). So it's very useful to save the game during trying to do the lap record. The another problem is the CC line. If you really want to "fly through the circuit" you'd better switch it off by pressing the F5 button and race using your instinct and knowning the track.Typical example are the Monte Carlo and Phoenix circuits. Going along the CC line your car crashes easily in the wall, because when using the improved tyres, the Beast goes like on tracks - the rear does not slide and you hit the fences inside corners by rear wheels. Especially in fast corners.

Most of my records were done without help of slipstreaming behind cars. It is still possible to reach better times. If you have better times then call me. But believe me: handling the Beast isn't for Rookies!

Do not touch the steering wheels (steering keys) while flying through cause the computer will try to help you back on track and you will spin out !!! - beware of steering help. It sucks but there is no other way to drive properly on a keyboard.

Some examples of cutting curves straight through:

Imola - with the speed of about 400 kph you fly through the last corners before the finish line (called Variante Bassa and Traguardo)

Hockenheimring - the real circuit was made for testing highest speeds of cars so the chicanes can be normally cut through on tarmac but the game doesn't have it and you have to fly over grass. The first chicane - with the speed of about 430 kph , the second one (before Ostcurve) is a bit dangerous cause of the small kerbs inside - you should go over them (that's about 420 kph)

Spa Francorchamps - with the speed of about 430 kph you fly through the Bus stop chicane. Don't worry of those barrels these are only a bitmap.

Monza - chicanes after the finish straight (called Rettifilo and Variante Goodyear) - with the speed of about 430 kph you fly between the kerbs (it must by between or otherwise you will really fly!! It's a problem to land with the car).

Suzuka - Casio chicane before the finish straight. Coming with a speed of about 430 kph to the INSIDE of the corner you are able to fly it through.
